WalTech International Inc ("WalTech", "we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, buy our products, or use our Vision 2.0 thermostat service, and how we use that information.

Who we are

Information we collect

  • Contact information when you text, email, or chat with us: name, phone number, email address, and the content of your message.
  • Order information when you buy: shipping address, billing address, payment method (processed by Shopify; we do not store full card numbers), and order history.
  • Site analytics: anonymous pageviews, device type, browser, and referring source collected via PostHog. IP addresses are stored briefly to calculate geographic region, then discarded.
  • Device telemetry from Vision 2.0 thermostats with an active subscription: temperature readings, humidity, mode changes, firmware version, connectivity status. Used to provide the service, trigger alerts, and improve product reliability. Never sold.
  • Account information if you register for the WalTech mobile app: email, password hash, RV profile, paired device IDs.
  • Support records: chat transcripts from the website chat widget, installer support tickets, and warranty claims.

How we use it

  • Fulfill orders and send shipping and receipt notifications.
  • Provide the Vision 2.0 service, including alerts, remote control, and diagnostics.
  • Respond to support requests and improve our products.
  • Understand how visitors use our site so we can make it better.
  • Send occasional product updates or promotional messages only if you opt in. You can unsubscribe anytime.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

Who we share it with

We share only what is needed for the services we use:

  • Shopify: checkout processing, order management, payment handling.
  • PostHog (US Cloud): anonymous website analytics.
  • Shipping carriers: your name and address, so packages arrive.
  • Cellular network provider: for Vision 2.0 units on the cellular subscription, connectivity metadata.
  • Law enforcement: only when legally required.

We do not sell your personal information to advertisers or data brokers.

Your rights

You can request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, correct inaccuracies, or ask us to delete it. For California, EU, UK, and similar residents, you also have the rights granted by your local privacy laws (CCPA, GDPR, etc.). Email support@waltechint.com to make a request.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies to keep the site working (for example, your shopping cart and the chat widget). We use analytics cookies via PostHog to measure site performance. You can disable cookies in your browser, but some site features may stop working.

Children

Our products and website are not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Data retention

We keep order records for 7 years for tax and warranty purposes. Support transcripts are kept for 2 years. Analytics data is retained for 12 months. Device telemetry is retained while your subscription is active plus 90 days.

We may update this policy as our services evolve. Material changes will be announced on this page and, if significant, emailed to active customers.
