What RV thermostats are not compatible with WalTech Vision 2.0?

WalTech Vision 2.0 is compatible with most new and old RV HVAC systems, including Dometic, Coleman Mach, Airxcel, Furrion, and GE. Currently, it is not compatible with the Dometic 4 button, Advent, and Truma.

Is it compatible with my home thermostat as well?

Yes, our patent-pending technology works with a wide power acceptance range from 7.5V to 32V on both AC and DC, making it compatible for use as a home thermostat as well.

Do I have to bring my own SIM card?

No, WalTech Vision 2.0 comes with a built-in SIM card that auto-connects to T-Mobile, Cellular One, and AT&T networks based on their signal strength.

Is a cellular subscription mandatory if I have stable Wi-Fi?

No, if you have stable Wi-Fi, a cellular subscription is not mandatory. However, if you do not have stable Wi-Fi inside your camper, the built-in SIM card will ensure that your device stays connected to the internet, allowing you to control it remotely from hundreds of miles away. You can also switch it on and off when not using your camper. The subscription is $10.99 per month for the months you are using it.

What happens if I am parked in a place with no cellular tower reception?

If you do not have Wi-Fi or are camping in a place without network coverage from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Cellular One, you will not be able to remotely control your device using the mobile app. However, you can always control it manually, just like your current thermostat.

WalTech Pet Mode is an upcoming feature currently in development. It allows you to set a comfortable temperature range for your pet, automatically switching on heating or cooling as needed. Since the device is connected to the internet, you can control and manage all your RV equipment remotely, even from 100 miles away, using your mobile app.

When will these functions be available for me to use?

Currently, only the thermostat function has been released to the public. Other features are still in testing and will be released one by one through over-the-air firmware updates.

Do I have to buy extra devices to automate my RV?

Yes, additional devices may be needed depending on your specific needs. For example, if you want to control your dehumidifier or space heater through an RV outlet, you will need to buy a smart plug.
