WalTech is not compatible with older Dometic 4-button systems, Attwood systems, the newer GE R32 systems, Furrion R32 systems,Airxcel CAN-bus multi-zone systems, or any centralized touchscreen control panel systems such as OneControl, In-Command, or similar platforms.

Replacing and setting up the WalTech Vision 2.0 is plug-and-play and user-friendly, with a comprehensive installation guide and video tutorials. Most users complete the process in under an hour. WalTech Vision 2.0 is compatible with most new and old RV HVAC systems, including Dometic, Coleman Mach, Airxcel, Furrion, and GE. Currently, it is not compatible with the Dometic 4 button, Advent, and Truma.

Yes, our patent-pending technology works with a wide power acceptance range from 7.5V to 32V on both AC and DC, making it compatible for use as a home thermostat as well.

No, WalTech Vision 2.0 comes with a built-in SIM card that auto-connects to T-Mobile, Cellular One, and AT&T networks based on their signal strength.

No, if you have stable Wi-Fi, a cellular subscription is not mandatory. However, if you do not have stable Wi-Fi inside your camper, the built-in SIM card will ensure that your device stays connected to the internet, allowing you to control it remotely from hundreds of miles away. You can also switch it on and off when not using your camper. The subscription is $10.99 per month for the months you are using it.

If you do not have Wi-Fi or are camping in a place without network coverage from AT&T, T-Mobile, or Cellular One, you will not be able to remotely control your device using the mobile app. However, you can always control it manually, just like your current thermostat.

WalTech Pet Mode is an upcoming feature currently in development. It allows you to set a comfortable temperature range for your pet, automatically switching on heating or cooling as needed. Yes, we are planning to introduce pet and human detection sensors. These sensors will automatically switch your RV to “Human Mode” when people are present and to “Pet Mode” when only pets are inside. This is part of our future plans and our patent-pending technology in the RV space.
