Bluetooth Sensors & Smart Devices

Pair smart plugs, relays, propane sensors, and H&T sensors with your WalTech.

WalTech as Bluetooth Gateway

The WalTech Vision 2.0 has a built-in Bluetooth gateway. There is no extra hub or bridge to buy - the thermostat itself connects directly to your Bluetooth sensors and smart devices.

Compatible devices include:

  • Mopeka propane tank sensors - Monitor your propane levels from the thermostat screen.
  • H&T sensors - Track humidity and temperature in different areas of your RV (bedroom, basement, etc.).
  • Smart plugs - Turn devices on and off remotely from the touchscreen or app.
  • Smart relays - Control higher-power equipment through relay switching.

All connected sensors are visible directly on the touchscreen. With an active subscription, you can also view and control them through the WalTech mobile app.

How to Add a Sensor

  1. Tap "Add Device" on the WalTech home screen.
  2. The WalTech will scan for nearby Bluetooth devices. This may take a few seconds.
  3. Select the sensor from the list that appears.
  4. Give it a descriptive name - for example, "Bedroom Temp", "Propane Tank", or "Living Room Plug".
Tip: If the device is not showing up in the list, press the sync button on the sensor or check its battery. Make sure the sensor is within Bluetooth range (usually about 30 feet).

Where to Find Your Sensor

Once added, the sensor appears in its dedicated section on the home screen. H&T sensors show up in the H&T Sensor section. Propane sensors appear in the Propane Tank section. Smart plugs and relays have their own section as well.

Managing Sensors

Rename or Delete a Sensor

To rename or remove a sensor:

  1. Find the sensor icon on the home screen.
  2. Touch and hold the sensor icon for about 5 seconds.
  3. A menu will appear with options to Rename or Delete the sensor.
  4. Choose your action and confirm.

Smart Plug & Smart Relay

Smart plugs and smart relays let you control devices directly from your WalTech touchscreen. Once paired, simply tap the device icon to turn it ON or OFF.

  • Smart Plug - Plugs into a standard outlet. Use it to control lamps, fans, space heaters, or any plug-in device.
  • Smart Relay - Wired into a circuit. Use it for higher-power equipment or hardwired devices that need relay switching.

Subscription for Remote Access

All sensor data is visible for free on the thermostat touchscreen. To view and control sensors remotely through the WalTech mobile app, you need an active subscription:

  • Yearly plan: $5.99/month (billed annually)
  • Monthly plan: $7.99/month (billed monthly)
Tip: You can still see everything on the thermostat screen for free, even without subscribing. The subscription only unlocks remote access through the mobile app.
