Troubleshooting & FAQ

Swipe down from the top of the screen. If you swipe down once, you'll see Android icons. Swipe down again and you'll see the icon that says "WalTech". Tap on it to go back to the main screen.

This is normal. The WalTech sensor is at the bottom left of the device and reads the air around it. Factors like sunlight, airflow, windows, and nearby appliances can cause a +/-2F difference. Go to Settings > Calibration to adjust.

This is by design. WalTech uses a 2-degree delay zone. For cooling at 70F, the AC won't kick in until 72F. For heating at 70F, the heat won't start until 68F. This prevents short cycling and extends equipment life.

This is normal. The device may automatically restart after initial configuration. Give it a minute to reboot.

This means the controller for that zone hasn't sent its temperature reading yet. WalTech will keep trying. Give it time - it's like calling someone and they haven't picked up yet.

Two options:

• Cellular: Swipe down, tap mobile data icon (turns green).
• WiFi: Swipe down, tap and hold WiFi icon, turn ON, select network.

When connected to WiFi or cellular, WalTech checks for updates every 5 minutes. A pop-up will appear when an update is available. Tap Download Now. Don't power off during the update.
